Yamhill County Board of Commissioners
Job Description: The board of commissioners acts as the governing body for the county, various service districts, councils, and committees. It is responsible for county administration, management, and policy. The board prepares and adopts county and service district budgets and provides administrative services, support, and liaison to service districts, cities, public agencies, organizations, the Oregon Legislative Assembly, and federal and state officials. It is responsible for conducting public meetings, hearings, road vacations, private and public land sales and exchanges as well as enacting ordinances, orders, contracts, leases and other legal agreements. House District 23
House District 23 covers Newberg, Dayton, Dundee. The full legislative district is available here.

In July 2021 Scharf was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Mike Nearman when he was expelled for his role in the attack on the Oregon Capitol building in December 2020
House District 24
No contested candidates for this race will be on the primary ballot this May. Victoria Ernst (D) will face Lucetta Elmer (R) in the November general election.
